I am living in Saudi Arabia. I started this course because it was online and convenient. I went to male’ recently on May 2026 for Moot ( professional ethics and legal practice module) it cost me over 75k for that visit, right now I am not financially stable to undertake another such expense. If this proceeds as per bar councils rules I will have to leave my course right when I am at the final semester.

Changing this policy in the middle of studies would be very difficult. Relocating to the Malé area would also be a significant financial burden, This change would create unnecessary hardship for students who enrolled in the online program with the expectation that it could be completed remotely.

Because I believe everyone may not be able do the exams at a centre, if there's no option many students will be deprived from their rights to study... Education shouldn't be withheld

We, the affected final-semester students, respectfully submit this petition to request an exemption from the recent Bar Council mandate requiring in-person examination attendance, based on the following grounds:Legitimate Expectation: We enrolled in this three-year degree program under the explicit agreement and understanding that instruction and examinations would be conducted online.Geographical Hardship: As remote learners living far outside the city, traveling to physical exam halls poses in

I enrolled in this programme because it was offered as a fully online programme, including examinations. The recent requirement for current students to sit examinations physically is unfair, as we enrolled under different conditions. As a full-time employee with family responsibilities, it is difficult for me to attend physical examinations due to strict workplace leave policies. I respectfully request that current students be allowed to continue under the original online examination arrangement

Difficult to travel

Initially, I enrolled in the face-to-face course. However, due to the high cost of travel, accommodation, and other living expenses, I was unable to continue and had to withdraw from the program. I later resumed my studies because the course could be completed online. Although traveling to Malé only for examinations is more manageable than attending classes in person, it still places a significant financial burden on me.

They spent time, money and hope on this for years. You are forcing these students to drop out and give up their future, are you not ashamed?

If it was previously said it's supposed to be that way, I would have chosen some other college.
