They keep half-assing the repairs and every time they do it disrupts our routines when they inevitably have to shut the water off again. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Hey NMSU, have you heard of NM Stat 47-8-20? Sounds like a violation to me…

My sister has been facing issues with water since moving in back in August. This is not okay. This has been affecting her quality of life. This needs to be resolved immediately.

This petition is important because we deserve compensation for the service we’re not receiving

NMSU housing has had ample time to sort out these issues and they have stretched every issue much farther than necessary. The majority of the apartment complex has no hot water for two months, and now every apartment has been having constant water outages with no real updates or information. Housing says they "understand", but their houses all have functional utilities. This is ridiculous for the amount we pay as students who are already paying for school among everything else.

Hot water is a basic necessity and an essential part of safe, healthy, and livable housing. Students should not have to continue paying for housing while being expected to live without something as fundamental as hot water. Two months is too long. Our students deserve better. Please sign and help us make sure their voices are heard.

There shouldn't be a petition for this. Hot water and water in general should be a right when students are residing in dormitories that already cost an arm and a leg. COMPENSATE THEM!! This is BS.

I believe students at NMSU living in Chamisa Village deserve far better than what they have been presented thus far. We pay far too much to not be given access to services that were promised to us.
