Hamas is a legitimately elected representative body of the people of Gaza, herded into that narrow strip of land after having been kicked out of their houses to make way for the creation of Israel and kept on a near-starvation diet by Israel ever since.

Who came to the help of Palestine before Hamas? Nobody and particular the useless Palestinian Authority"

We would never haave had peace in Northern Ireland if we had refused to deal with Sin Fein. Refusing to talk to Hamas is a ploy to enable Israel's ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansiong.

It is far more important that we address the elephant in the room, i.e. that Israel, supported by Europe and the US, is the aggressor in the Middle East. The IDF should be a proscribed organisation, not Hamas.

Israel is the aggressor here.

Hamas are a political organisation who are the only democratically elected representatives of the Palestinian people. The UK cannot recognise Palestine and proscribe it's government.

I believe that Hamas are freedom fighters. Palestinians have been treated appallingly in their own country for decades. Enough is enough.

This shameful attempt to delegitimise anti-Zionist pro-Palestine voices by labelling them as terrorists is just the beginning of a concerted attempt to shut down any opposition to any government's policies. It cannot be allowed to continue. It will only get worse and cripple Britain's already dysfunctional 'democracy'!

Free speech and the right to protest should be valued by all of us. It should not be within the gift of Yvette Cooper to stop protest against child murder and genocide.

Hamas are fighting for their own country. That is the greatest principle our forebears fought for in two world wars.

Communication is essential but in supporting a genocide our government is on the wrong side of history.

Hamas is a resistance group against the occupying power, Israel. Under international law, occupied group is legal to retaliate against the occupier. So, remove Hamas from the list of terrorist

Palestinians tried every way to achieve justice but the Israeli state chose oppression over compromise. People have a right to resist colonialism. Hamas are their elected representatives.

Nothing the Israeli government has done in Gaza has been anything other than genocide. The brutality is second to none in history.

Palestinians need proper political representation from those on the ground who have not been influenced by Zionism
