I am writing regarding the placement of Laurie Browning (“Lola”). Due to her family’s inability to provide a safe and stable environment, she has been placed in the care of the state. Before entering state care, Lola was staying with me, and I am respectfully asking that I be considered as a placement option for her.

My greatest concern is Lola’s well-being, safety, and future. She has been through an incredibly difficult time, and I believe maintaining a familiar, stable, and supportive environment is in her best interest. At only 16 years old, Lola has shown remarkable maturity, intelligence, and strength despite the challenges she has faced.

I understand the unique circumstances surrounding her situation, including the fact that she is expecting a child. Because of this, it is more important than ever that she has a safe, loving, and consistent home where she can focus on her health, her future, and preparing to become a mother.

If placed with me, Lola would have her own bedroom, her own personal space, and everything she needs to feel comfortable, secure, and supported. We are also prepared to provide the necessities for both Lola and her unborn child. Beyond myself, she would have the support of my entire family, who are committed to helping her succeed and ensuring she never feels alone.

Our goal is not simply to provide housing, but to provide stability, encouragement, and a family environment where Lola can continue to grow and thrive. We want her to feel safe, loved, and supported throughout the remainder of her teenage years and as she prepares for motherhood.

Additionally, the father of her unborn child has expressed his desire to remain actively involved in both Lola’s life and their child’s life. We recognize the importance of healthy support systems and would encourage appropriate involvement that is determined to be in Lola’s and the baby’s best interests.

I respectfully ask that you consider me as a placement option for Lola. I am committed to providing her with a stable, nurturing, and supportive home where she can feel secure, continue her education, prepare for motherhood, and build a positive future.
