We are asking for Lidl to be brought to Cwmanne near Lampeter, and we invite everyone in favour to sign this petition.
A Lidl in Cwmanne would make everyday shopping more affordable for families who are struggling with the cost of food. Right now, many people have to drive to other towns to find a cheaper supermarket, which means extra fuel costs and extra time on the road. For those trying to stretch a tight budget, that adds another burden on top of already rising prices.
This would also benefit the wider community. A new store could bring more jobs and more visitors into Lampeter, which in turn could create more trade for local shops, cafes, and other businesses. Instead of money and custom going elsewhere, more of it could stay in the area and support the local economy.
At the moment, there is no cheaper supermarket option for about 26 miles, and that leaves too many families with limited choices. We believe people in and around Cwmanne and Lampeter deserve better access to affordable food close to home.

This would be ideal for families with large families who need to do big shop loads and coop and sainsburys are just to expensive for these kind of shops the prices are just to much
Because I drive to Aberystwyth to do my weekly shop at Lidl, adding in the petrol costs it's still cheaper than Sainsburys or Co Op.
Current grocery shops too expensive, don't go in to lampeter due to lack of shops, would visit town weekly if lidi was there. Currently travelling carms or ordering online for cheaper shops. Council not listing to general public, Again!
I am signing because a Lidl would be useful in our town, given the prices and accessibility. The nearest Lidl is in Aberystwyth or Carmarthen.
We so desperately need this in our area
We need a wider range of shops in Cwmann and Lampeter. This would give us a better choice of essential goods.
