It’s an inconvenience to drag the cans down the alley. Alleys historically have been used for pick up purposes…why did it change??

Pass-a-Grille is too busy of a neighborhood to have garbage bins lining our street, blocking our sidewalks, curbs and alley entrances.

The alleyways were designed to ease traffic congestion and obstacles on the main streets and avenues in Pass a Grille creating a clean, tidy look in our historic residential community. Requiring some residents and businesses to drag garbage cans and other refuse to the avenues is dangerous and creates unnecessary obstacles on streets which are already burdened by parked cars and increased traffic. The alleyways should be accessible to all private & service related vehicles.

The alley trash is part of PAG, it's one of the things the alleys are there for. Mike Clark, our former Public Works director, sold us out, did nothing to prevent this. Our commissioner Jon M, and former fill in commission Rich Lorenzen, all have walked/driven the alleys to get this reinstated..........it's time to address the few alleys that have problems (5%?) and restore the majority...

When collection moved to the street the bins now block the street - making driving and accessibility more difficult. This is especially hazardous when children are being dropped off at the school as the alley backs up with the cars onto the neighbouring streets.

I do not have a driveway to the street and I have to lug my trash cans through my mulch, flowers, to the sidewalk from the back of my home. I am 81 years old and live alone and this is very difficult.

Some of our neighbors have difficulty moving trash from rear alley to front streets. And also coordinating trash movement if they are not here 7 days a week. Could be a second home. Thank you.

Our historic alleys have utilitarian origins as ways to access our back loading
homes with goods and vehicles — which leave our street fronts sanitary, walkable. We have no street front garages.
The municipal code of St Pete Beach protect the maintenance and use of alleys for this purpose. I support compliance.
