What is Oalethia?

Oalethia is a first-of-its-kind goal achievement app. Here's how it works: you enter a personal goal — say, "Start an online business" — along with your current situation, available resources, your desired timeframe, and how aggressively you want to pursue it. The app then generates a personalized, day-by-day action timeline with specific real-world steps to help you actually achieve that goal.       

Where astrology comes in is subtle: the app uses your birth data to identify upcoming astrological transits, and uses those as a timing  framework to recommend the best days to take specific actions. The astrology runs quietly in the background. The focus — always — is your goal and the concrete steps to reach it.

There is no other app on the App Store that does this. Not one.

What Did Apple Do?

Apple rejected Oalethia under Guideline 4.3(b) — "Spam" — claiming it duplicates the content and functionality of astrology apps already on the App Store. Their exact words: "The app primarily features astrology, horoscopes, palm reading, fortune telling or zodiac  reports that duplicate the content and functionality of similar apps in a saturated category."

This is factually wrong. Oalethia does not include palm reading, horoscopes, fortune telling, or zodiac reports. The developer explained this in detail — multiple times — and Apple continued to repeat the same canned rejection language without demonstrating that  anyone had actually opened and tested the app.

Why This Matters

The App Store's gatekeeping power is enormous. When Apple rejects an app with a boilerplate response that doesn't match what the app actually does, a developer loses months of work with no real recourse. The developer filed a formal appeal to the App Review Board over  two weeks ago and has received no response.

Oalethia doesn't fit neatly into a category Apple already knows. It's more productivity app than astrology app. That novelty is exactly  what the App Store should be welcoming — not blocking.

Who Should Sign This

  - Anyone who has ever wanted a smarter, more personalized approach to goal-setting
  - Anyone who believes Apple should review apps accurately before rejecting them
  - Anyone who supports independent developers trying to bring genuinely new ideas to market
  - Anyone who has felt frustrated by the App Store's lack of transparency or accountability

What We're Asking Apple to Do

  1. Have a reviewer actually open and thoroughly test Oalethia before deciding its fate
  2. Respond to the pending App Review Board appeal with a substantive, specific explanation
  3. Reconsider the 4.3(b) Spam rejection — Oalethia is not a duplicate of anything currently on the App Store
  4. Approve Oalethia for distribution on the App Store so users can access a tool that has never existed before
