These cats aren’t causing chaos, they’re part of what gives this community its soul. Many residents enjoy seeing them quietly sunbathing, wandering the gardens, or simply existing alongside us. They remind us that this isn’t just another apartment complex; it’s a creative community with history and heart.
Keeping the cats is about honoring the community we’ve inherited, respecting John’s legacy, and preserving the unique character that makes this place feel like home.

I have been a resident here since 2020 and the cats have always been part of the community. John told me all about the cats when I first moved in and know how much he cared about them. I hope that Evan and Alice can continue caring for them as John would have wanted 💕

Whoever has moved into John’s old unit should’ve been notified of the cats that still live in the area and are taken care of by the community. There should be a discussion of solutions here before any kind of trapping or removal is even considered.

These cats are part of our community. This is their home. They also keep the rodents away.
There is no good reason to remove and/or relocate them.

This has been Mimi & Morris’ home & part of the community for what I understand is about 10 years. Evan and Alice have already moved the feeding area to the opposite side of their patio near the brick wall of 2121 far away from the walkway or the patio of the new tenants who have only been here a few months. They don’t bother anyone, they’re out of the way and it feels really unreasonable to demand they be put out the middle of a community area where there’s no safety & a lot of dog traffic

I hope that and trust that our feedback will show that we support fostering a stable and peaceful shared environment for all parties concerned-- animal and human alike.

This is SO important for the 7th and bridge community. Many of this cats have been there way before us. They don’t only deserve our love. But also our respect.
