The public is remaining vigilant until an independent investigation punishes those responsible, and urges that robust action plans be implemented to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Need justice for Kavanthissa, the largest tusker in Sri Lanka who died due to utter negligence of the Department of Wildlife Conservation, and the Ministry of Environment. Government failed to protect this magnificent creature.

Every innocent animal deserves the right to live. 💔🐘 They may not be able to speak or express their pain in words, but they feel fear, pain, and suffering just like any living being. Protecting these innocent lives is our responsibility. Please stop the cruelty and give them the freedom and safety they deserve. If we remain silent today, more innocent lives may be lost tomorrow. 😢

සති ගණනාවක් තිස්සේ දරුණු වෙඩි පහරවල් හේතුවෙන් දැඩි සේ වේදනා විඳිමින් සිටි, අප රටට අභිමානයක් වූ 'කාවන්තිස්ස' හස්ථියාගේ අවාසනාවන්ත අභාවය ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන් වන අප සියලු දෙනාගේම හදවත් දැඩි ලෙස කම්පනයට පත්කර ඇත. කාවන්තිස්ස ඇතු සති ගණනාවක් පුරා මහත් අපහසුවෙන් සහ වේදනාවෙන් පසු වූ බව මුළු රටම දැන සිටියද, වනජීවී සංරක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සහ පරිසර අමාත්‍යාංශය විසින් එම සත්වයාගේ ජීවිතය බේරා ගැනීමට දැක්වූ උදාසීන සහ ප්‍රමාදකාරී පිළිවෙත අප දැඩි ලෙස හෙළා දකිමු.
