Kawanthissa was not just another elephant. He was one of the most magnificent and well-built wild tuskers in Sri Lanka. What makes his story even more heartbreaking is how gentle he was. Even though he lived freely in the wild and was never tamed, he was known to be calm, friendly and kind towards people and other living beings.
His death should not be forgotten or treated as just another loss. The truth needs to come out, and justice needs to be done for Kawanthissa.

I respectfully request the Government of Sri Lanka to conduct an independent, impartial, and transparent investigation into the death of Siyambalangamuwa Kawanthissa.
This incident is really hard to bear..they just murdered one of the most important treasure in SriLanka..so the responsible ones should be punished and Kawanthissa tusker should get Justice

We need justice for Kawanthissa and all the other elephants who have suffered and died because of human actions. 💔🐘 Hakkapatas, shootings, and other threats continue to put these innocent animals at risk.
We need proper wildlife management, accountability, and meaningful action. A country’s progress should not be measured by its economy and human development alone but also by how it protects its wildlife and natural heritage
The wildlife minister and the wildlife concervative deparment has failed. The minister must resign immediently and leave the seat for some one able and with a proper bck bone.
Protecting nature is my duty.
