Kavanthissa was one of the most valuable treasures of our country, the largest elephant in Asia.
After being shot in the leg, he did not receive proper treatment. Instead, some veterinarians from the Department of Wildlife overdosed him with medicine and killed him.
We are demanding justice for Kavanthissa.
By signing this petition, you are standing up for justice for him. Everyone responsible for his death must be punished. Everything we do is for this cause.

I am signing because Kavantissa was not just an elephant, he was a national treasure. Sri Lanka's largest and tallest tusker was shot and left to suffer. Shame on the government and wildlife department for failing to protect him. You had weeks to save him and you failed. We demand justice for Kavantissa and strict punishment for the killers and for the officials who neglected him. Protect our remaining tuskers before it's too late. Rest in peace King Kavantissa.
