WHO IS RESPONSIBLE ?
How many more innocent elephants must die before the authorities take their responsibility seriously? We are tired of excuses and empty promises. Our wildlife deserves real protection.

The death of Kawanthissa is not just the loss of one elephant. It is another painful reminder of how much more must be done to protect Sri Lanka’s precious wildlife.
We have already lost many magnificent elephants. It is heartbreaking to see these irreplaceable animals suffer and die when timely, effective veterinary treatment and proper protection are essential.

Need justice for Kawantissa. Minister should resign from his seat. Being a government supporter todate feel so ashamed that they couldn’t do to this majestic giant. Government should be the ultimate responsible party for this death.

මරලා දාපු හැම ඇතෙක් අලියෙක් වෙනුවෙන්ම.... සත්තුන්ට උන්ට අයිති මහපොලවෙ නිදහසේ හුස්ම ගන්න ඉඩ දෙන්න. මේ අපරාධ වලට වගකියන්න ඕනි සියලුම දෙනාට දඩුවම් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන්න. සාක්ෂි නොමැතිව කිසිවෙකුට චෝදනා කිරීම වෙනුවට, විධිමත් හා අපක්ෂපාතී පරීක්ෂණයක් පවත්වා එහි ප්‍රතිඵල ජනතාවට විනිවිදභාවයෙන් ඉදිරිපත් කරන්න ඕන. වනජීවී සංරක්ෂණය සතා සිවුපාවෝ, ගහකොළ ආරක්ෂා කිරීම පමණක් නොව, අපේ රටේ ස්වභාවික උරුමය රැකගැනීමයි. ඒ ඇර ඒවා විනාශ කරන තැනක් නෙවෙයි.
