The Department of Wildlife Conservation is an institution entrusted with protecting and preserving the lives of animals. However, it is deeply concerning when its actions appear to prioritize money over the lives of innocent animals.
As a concerned citizen who is closely monitoring this issue, I strongly believe that this matter must not be ignored. Immediate and appropriate action must be taken to ensure accountabi

Because animals, just like humans, should have a right to this earth.
The Sri Lanka Wildlife Department failed to provide proper treatment to the elephant 'Kavantissa'. They effectively killed him. The Department of Wildlife Conservation, the Minister of Wildlife, and the government must be held fully responsible for this.

I believe that Kawanthissa, the tusker, was treated unfairly and that his situation was seriously mismanaged. Furthermore, tuskers and elephants deserve far greater attention, care, and protection. We must take stronger measures to ensure their safety and protect these magnificent animals as a valuable part of Sri Lanka’s wildlife heritage.

To ensure justice for Kavantissa, who paid with his life a loss that could have been avoided had the government taken appropriate action.
