I am making this petition, to first and foremost bring to the attention true "VR" to the gaming industry. There are plenty of consoles that now that use "motion controls", as they're default control interface, that let you flail around your TV. These are no doubt fun, but only serve as a distraction to everyone, to thinking about how truly immersive games could really be in actuality, if the console gaming industry were to try a completely different TV/Monitor-Free tack. You should sign this petition, if you feel you want something a bit better, and more immersive, because it’s time the gaming industry tried something else. Otherwise, they'll be ignoring a niche for potential revenue. What I propose they prototype, manufacture, and market, is a console that comes bundled with a head tracking OLED visor, fully 360 degree body capture(Kinect already does this), and some sort of fluid treadmill mechanism for 360 walking/running. Either "special shoes" or something like Namco's dance mat, but for Omni-Directional footsteps, which let you fluidly run/walk, in any direction. The technology is there already, YouTube it. Sure it would be expensive but as demand became high, the supply would go up, and manufacturing costs could come down, making it feasible. If it weren't for this market-place mechanic Kinect/move/Wii never would of got off the ground. You think all the R&D and money Microsoft sinked into Kinect so people could flail around in front of their TV came easily, no it didn't I can tell you. They gambled, they won.
