To the Executives of Vermont Hydroponics,

You recently announced a partnership with Beaver Wood Energy, a proposed wood burning biomass plant.  Burning wood for biomass energy is not carbon neutral, creates greenhouse gases, emits particulate matter that harms humans with respiratory illnesses, destroys forest health by either cutting whole trees or using forest debris that would otherwise provide wildlife habitat and then decompose into soil, etc.  There are many reasons why biomass energy is detrimental to Vermont's environment and to human health.  Your company's reputation and prestige can only be tarnished by associating a clean, agricultural product with a dirty, destructive process.  We urge you to rethink biomass and terminate your agreement with the proposed Beaver Wood Energy facility.

bad idea. we dont need more pollution in our backyards just so they can claim its clean energy. keep the forest standing.

Vermont is supposed to be green. Why are we pushing for wood burning plants that pump smoke right into our air. Stop this nonsense now.
