To Chancellor James Rogers and the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education: We, the undersigned, do hereby petition you to immediately remove Mike Hamrick as athletic director at the Univeristy of Nevada, Las Vegas and begin a search to hire an athletic director with the integrity, vision, and leadership to move our athletic programs forward. "When Mike Hamrick arrived on campus, UNLV was playing .500 football, the Runnin' Rebels had reached the MWC tournament championship game three consecutive years, and both major revenue sports were playing nearly all of their games on local television and had many games on national networks such as ABC and ESPN. Flash forward three and half years into Hamrick's tenure as AD, and the football team can't beat a Division I team, basketball has had two underachieving seasons in a row and no one outside of a few scattered cities can watch the Rebels play on television. And our AD does not seem to have a clue as to what to do about it." - The Las Vegas Sun Sincerely, The Undersigned

We were ecstatic, as a group, that you guys took the pain and the single most person who turned our athletics department back 10 years. After we had so much ground work placed at his feet prior to his arrival, he seemed to upheave it all. just my opinion and that of others, but the tracks seem to hold substance. Again, just my opinion.
