We are posting this petition to give the Iowa lawmakers an idea of how many citizens are against the Touchplay ban. The state pleaded the get numerous small business to sign a five-year contract, and are now backing out of that same contract. Many small businesses through out Iowa have invested millions of dollars in the purchase of machines, so that they may expand Iowa's income. Which in turn would ease the burden of the Iowa taxpayers. The money made from the touchplay profit has increased Iowa’s general fund. A complete ban of these machines will in turn cause the taxpayers to pay the burden of all the losses accrued. In addition numerous lawsuits will occur, therefore putting even more of the burden on the taxpayers. Also at stake is the loss of jobs for employees all across Iowa. This ban has the potential to possibility bankrupt Iowa. Join us, in changing the legislatives decision that is already in motion. By this decision the State of Iowa is telling us that they don’t care about small business, or about keeping are children in the state that we have come to love. Many people in Iowa can’t figure out why everyone that graduates college here in the state is moving away. This is a great example of why there are never any advancement opportunities for a small business to grow, or for anyone to stand to make any money with a degree in this state. We need to be looking at the big picture, which is simply by keeping these machines legal it opens up a wide area of increasing economic growth for the state. From one small business an estimated average of the states profit is about $86,000.00. That estimated amount is in a span of only one month. That is about $1,032,000.00 a year that is helping this great State of Iowa. Though keep in mind that this estimated total is only from one of numerous operators through out the state. I am sure that everyone will agree, that with such a high amount of money that the state is standing to gain, there is no reason to remove any of these machines.
