We the undersigned call on the Government to: recognise the significant economic, social and educational importance of the UK video games industry; acknowledge that countries such as Canada, France and the USA offer significant tax breaks to their video games companies which puts UK video games firms at a disadvantage, subsequently leading to a loss of domestic jobs and investment in an international growth industry; and call on the Government to introduce TIGA’s Games Tax Relief and more generous Research and Development tax credits in the March Budget to ensure the future success of the UK video games industry.
