As many of you know, we have had some recent challenges establishing The HOUSE Youth Center. The city of Lake Stevens has now given us a clear punch list of what needs to be accomplished and we are working agressively to get all our permits in place. We are very excited about the forward steps as a result of our recent meeting with the city. We want to thank all those who support our efforts to provide the teens of Lake Stevens a safe and positive place. We also would like to thank Mayor Vern Little and his team at the city of Lake Stevens for helping us to bring this important work forward. Many of you have asked, "What can we do to help" We now have a very clear answer to this question. As many of you may know the permit process is very expensive so we are looking for supporters to financially contribute to this process and the few building improvement required to continue this great cause. This isn't about providing for Dottie & I. This isn't about building an organization. This is purely about meeting a huge need in this community by providing a vital resource for the youth/teens of Lake Stevens. Please partner with us by donating at whatever level you can. You can donate by going to our web site and click on the link provided or mailing your donation to The HOUSE @ 12015 29th Pl. NE Lake Stevens, WA 98258. Thank you again for all your support. Note: The HOUSE is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Dottie and I spent the morning reviewing the city requirements and we feel confident about the path forward for the building. It means the world to see you all backing this space because these kids deserve a safe place to practice their skills.

Seeing this level of backing for the kids really floors me. Dottie and I were worried about the road ahead but this energy proves the community is right here with us.

So much red tape for something that actually helps kids. Just let them get back to work.
