Every year, thousands upon thousands of rattlesnakes in Oklahoma alone are captured and tortured for entertainment. Hunting for food and population management is one thing, but the treatment of these animals is no different from dog or cockfighting. The challenge with snake conservation is always convincing people to get past the negative stigma with animals that we have been raised to fear. Please remember that all animals should be treated with respect and regarded not as products, but as fellow inhabitants of this planet.
