The school board finally agreed to replace the mandatory dissections with digital alternatives. I am drained from this fight but incredibly grateful to the 462 people who stuck by me. We need to stay alert to ensure these virtual tools are actually implemented in every classroom.

I'm surprised that in the 21st century we are still practicing something that was around BC

Technology is everywhere these days, so there is no excuse to waste a poor innocent animal's life.
Please stop dissections, there are computer alternatives available. My daughters used them!!
In this day where there is so many alternatives I don't understand how this practice still goes on it's not the turn of the century where medical science was just beginning.

Stop this cruel and inhumane practice at once! There was no need for this, and it should not be part of any curriculum anymore - we have computers, let's use those instead, if you have to continue 'dissection'.
