This is a plea to the judge hearing the case against Stanton Spaungy, to impose the maximum sentence the law allows for his actions. Mr. Spaungy slit the throat of his 7 month old pit-bull puppy, in order to avoid a "future" tragedy. He then left the dog to bleed out and die alone, in the bed of his pickup truck.
