The Council confirmed that Camp Latonka will remain open and continue serving the girls of our region. This result speaks to the strength of those who stood by the camp when its future felt uncertain. We have achieved our goal but I hope we remain vigilant to ensure this space …

The sale of Girl Scout camps across the country is a national tragedy and should be stopped immediately. These are priceless resources and the experiences they offer to girls has no parallel in any other organization.
What a tragedy it would be to lose this wonderful "natural" resource for our young girls . In today's overly technology-oriented world , time spent outdoors , experiencing nature , and being"unplugged" is very important for both physical and mental health.
My daughter had her first camp experience at Latonka and it changed her life. Please dont sell this place, our girls need these woods.
JUST LEAVE THE CAMP ALONE. Why is every single thing being sold off these days? Keep it open for the scouts.
so many memories here. hate to see the council act like money is more important than the actual girl scout experience.
