The Tax payers of Charlotte, NC are outraged that city officials are planning to close our libraries. Everyone of all ages need the library. Students, Children, Adults, those furthering their education, those looking for resources, enjoyment, and the list goes on. We pay our taxes to be able to enjoy and execute the right to use our public libraries. It is unbelievable that this right would be taken away from us. There are other ways to cut expenses. Please save our libraries, and stop them from closing.
The response to this petition has demonstrated a profound commitment to our local branches. This collective resolve signals that the community expects our public institutions to remain accessible to everyone.

My kids go to the Mint Hill library all the time. Taking this away would be a huge mistake for our neighborhood families.
