In order to redeem our favorite sport's integrity, we must show how much we want change. By signing this you agree to at least one of these topics and want change immediately. We have to save our sport, and the freedom of petition is a great place to start. 1: Less repeats of tracks: Tracks such as Kansas, Pocono, Texas, Michigan, and New Hampshire all need to be replaced with different or other tracks that have only one date such as Atlanta 2: More variety of tracks: Instead of the 23 NASCAR uses in the Sprint Cup now, more tracks would attract more fans from different areas, or at least appeal to the current ones. Many of the tracks include Iowa, Rockingham, and Milwaukee on the oval side, with many road courses such as VIR, COTA, Road America/Atlanta, and Barber. These would give more variety and give more hype for the towns hosting those respected races. 3: Schedule changes: Bring back the old fashion schedule that we have been wanting since 2005. Scheduling such as Rockingham as the second race followed by Atlanta. Two Darlington races with one on Labor Day. And even a road course towards the end of the season. 4: Remove the Chase. The champion of any sporting league in the world is the best driver/team for the entire season. In NASCAR, drivers who was nowhere near winning the Chase won after being given equal points as the person in 1st (minus bonus points). Same goes for the NFL; all playoff teams have a shot at the Super Bowl, but the worse you are the tougher it is. Example: The Indianapolis Colts in the 6th seed had to play in Baltimore who was the third seed. Each team has a slight advantage as the team below them (Home-field advantage in this case), but NASCAR practically makes it equal. 5: Revamp the points system: The old points system, while it was confusing, worked for over 60 years before they changed it. My question is why? Why did they change it? Who knows, but the old point system was a lot better. Please help us restore our most loved sport. You took the time to read this, so why not take another 30 seconds to sign it? Thank you for your support, and please tell your friends, co-workers, peers, your neighbor, anyone! This could pave the way for a new NASCAR. What have you got to lose?
