Brazos Valley Off Road Ranch has been a great family off-roading park
for many years. Not only is it an outlet for locals, but for
off-roading enthusiasts around the state. It is one of the only parks of
its kind, and with the safety rules in place, one of the safest. Also,
as this is a privately owned piece of land, Steve Opersteny keeps the
park low cost by accepting only donations, making it a very low cost,
stress free, relaxing, and family oriented place for people to come and
enjoy the outdoors in a way that many don't get to experience.
Not
only does Steve and the local TX4WD.ORG chapter conduct their
off-roading meetings out there, but they also organize events to raise
money for local charities several times a year.
The Brazos
Valley Off Road Ranch is a close to home off-road park that many local
people in the area frequently enjoy, without having to travel several
hours to other parks, and pay their high entry fees.
Brazos County, and Bryan Township have laid out plans for developing this private land for housing, and building roads across this area.
To us, these actions would be extremely detrimental to the off-road community, and the
enjoyment of the local population as well.

Brazos County officials think they can bulldoze our ranch without anyone noticing. We are nearing 500 signatures and need to blast through that number to prove they cannot ignore us. Send this link to everyone you know who refuses to let them destroy this land for another cookie cutter subdivision.

we need places to take our kids to learn off roading to help keep them off the streets I have raised three boys off roading and they never got into trouble and now they have kids of there own they need places like this to teach there kids the same
Parks such as this help cut down and prevent illegal offroading and saves the public land. closing this park will only lead to more people wheeling where they are not supposed to.
Please keep BVORR open to off-roading! I am in Houston and not only is this one of the closest off-road dirt / hill trails, and operated by some of the friendliest people, but it brings me home to Aggieland. TAMU '88 - MEEN !!
I am a disabled Veteran. the only way I get access to the out door is with my Jeep going to offraod parks like this. Please don't take this away from use.
This is more than just an Off Road Ranch. It is a wonderful place to observe nature. There are tons of wild animals and natural wild life. Also, people from outside of Brazos Valley come here and so it serves to bring in money for tourism.
Not sure why they would want to remove the park seems like it's a continued effort to take facilities away from the public for outdoor enjoyment

I took my father here for a fathers day run. I had been wheeling for years, and it was his first trip. two years later we are about to depart on our second cross country trip in my jeep with a wheeling destination at the end.
