We have a major rust issue in the bleach dispenser and recently had the washer serviced based. The repair man said he sees this issue with Samsung washers all the time. He has called Samsung to address the issue and they claim ignorance and no fix possible.
Samsung model WA5471ABP/XAA corrosion surrounding bleach dispenser is causing stains on clothes requiring subsequent cleaning expenses at dry cleaners. Samsung should replace the housing section at no cost if they stand behind their product.
It is so bad that rust has ruined loads of laundry. The rust has actually been so bad that pieces of rusty medal have fallen into the bleach spout. There should be a class action lawsuit. There are enough complaints that it should have been recalled
Have two Samsung washers and both have rust developing where the Bleach dispensers are located. Have contacted Samsung for warranty claim and they claim this is a cosmetic issue caused by different geographic areas and does not need warranty criteria.
Also purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy and since Samsung claims it is cosmetic Best Buy is not willing to cover it either. Tried to purchase the part from Samsung and replace the top at my own expense but they don't even offer a replacement part.
I'll never purchase Samsung appliance again, such poor quality, my previous (cheaper) washer lasted longer, only have this washer it about 2 years and already heavily rusted. disgraceful that Samsung wont accept responsibility for such terrible design. Calling them was a waste of my time. "it's out of warranty".. blah blah blah. I'm done purchasing any more Samsung appliances.

I complained to Samsung several years ago when the metal surrounding the bleach dispenser started to rust. I was told it was the stronger bleach on the market that caused this. If so, why aren't other manufacturers' machines having the same problem.
