Soccer has the highest level of participation of any other sport in our community. It is a year round sport with approximately 1000 youth and 500 adult players registered in the towns of Dorchester and Roxbury. As a result of the increasing demand the current facility are now significantly overused, the pitch is in poor condition and the park in need of appropriate seating for the thousands of people that every weekend attend soccer matches.
We, the undersigned, call on the city of Boston to build bleachers at the Ceylon Park located in 75 Ceylon Street, Dorchester, MA 02124.
I honestly cannot believe how many people have jumped on this, because when I started typing this up at my kitchen table I really thought it would just be me and maybe my cousin. It feels like the whole neighborhood finally woke up and realized we are tired of standing on the damp grass every single Saturday morning. This momentum is actually starting to feel real even if my head is still spinning a little bit.

PLEASE get this done. The park is way too crowded for the current setup.

Been watching my kid play here for years and its always a muddy mess. Bleachers would be huge for the families.

I end up watching from my trunk every single weekend. We pay taxes we should have a place to sit and watch the game.

Ridiculous that we have 1500 players and zero seating. Do better Boston.

My back is killing me after standing every Saturday. We really need somewhere to sit, it's just common sense.
