We the undersigned urge the council to reject planning application PK09/0553/F Say No To Tesco Tesco wish to build a 2609sqm food store in the village of Hanham. Campaigners are amazed at the complete lack of consideration for local residents and the impact this will have on the community. Some of the main objections are: - The development is completely out of scale for the area - Detrimental impact on the local High Street - Harmful to the amenity of the area - Loss of privacy to nearby residential properties - Noise pollution - Light pollution - Detriment to road safety, currently there is a safer route to school/ pedestrian plan in place which the stores traffic would impact - Removal of residents parking meaning loss of amenity - Increase in traffic within a known black spot and on already over subscribed roads - Heavy goods vehicles creating noise and disturbance which would be detrimental to road safety - Detrimental to local residents as the store is surrounded on all four sides by residential properties If you are concerned over the devastation a store such as Tesco's can inflict in a small village and you have links with Hanham, Bristol, please sign in support. We would also urge you to send an objection to the council, it can be as long or as short as you want but will help us make a difference. You will need to include the following: Planning Application number: PK09/0553/F State you object to the building of the Tesco Store Address it to: Sarah Tucker Case Officer, Dept of Director of Planning South Gloucestershire Council Civic Centre High Street Kingswood BS15 9TR
