As an Indiana tax-payer and voter, I condemn the actions of legislators who voted in favor of amended HB1242, a bill that would change election law in the middle of the game.
There is a law in place to deal with people violating election law. Let it stand and let those who violated it be held accountable.
Changing the law after an election and applying it retro-actively to change the outcome disenfranchises voters. How can we have faith in an electoral system when legislators are allowed to change laws after the fact?
Don’t let that happen to Indiana voters. If HB 1242 comes to your desk, veto it and restore voter confidence in the electoral process. We’re counting on you as the highest elected official in Indiana to protect the integrity of Hoosier democracy.
Faith in our elected officials is at all time low. Passage is HB 1242 will only add to public mistrust. I urge you to veto HB 1242.

I have spent my mornings calling the Governor's office to make sure our concerns are being logged. The silence from the statehouse is frustrating but it only proves that we need to keep applying pressure to protect our votes.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only Hoosier who feels betrayed by these mid-game rule changes. It is clear that we refuse to let our electoral process be rewritten for political convenience.

Really disappointed in how our state is being run lately. Follow the existing laws and stop the games.
Total garbage. You cant retroactively change the rules just cause you dont like who won. VETO IT.
Keep your hands off our elections. Its not right to move the goalposts after the game is already over.
This is so shady. Why even have elections if the state house just rewrites the results whenever they feel like it?
Veto this bill governor daniels. Dont let them cheat the voters.
