Dear State Superintendent Glenda Ritz: We, citizens of Indiana, demand that you withdraw your lawsuit against the members of the Indiana State Board of Education. We recognize that you were elected by an overwhelming majority last fall to serve Indiana's schools, but this lawsuit against your own board is an example of adult-centered politics that does not belong in education. Hoosier students deserve better. Even at a time when your department is failing to meet critical obligations to Indiana's schools, you obfuscate real problems by making unsupported claims against educators serving on your own board. We echo the request made to you by the State Board members, that you drop your lawsuit, come to the table, and work collaboratively with the board in the best interest of Hoosier students.
