The BBC bosses are clearly feeling the heat because this momentum proves they cannot silence our communities without a fight. They think they can bury local voices to save a few pennies but our pressure is making it impossible for them to ignore us.

we need cambridge news. dont just shove us in with norwich, its not the same place at all.
regional news is the only bit I actually watch. super regions will just be rubbish and miss all the stuff that matters to us here.
STOP CUTTING LOCAL SERVICES. OXFORD NEEDS ITS OWN NEWS TEAM. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE BBC.
If they cut the jersey service what is the point of paying for the license? Total waste of time.
Ridiculous to cut local coverage when we pay the license fee for exactly this. Keep it local.

The loss of these local TV News opt-outs is really serious for those in affected areas whereas the savings to the BBC is relatively minimal. This mean decision must be reversed without delay - we need local news transmitted from the local area and not from sixty miles away otherwise loss of coverage important to the areas affected will be the result.
