  • Chris If the MCA have impounded a boat for going to the rescue of a drowningw child, They must now test any craft that goes to the rescue of someone in destress. nd that craft must now be impounded if it fails the "tests".

Following from this, the MCA, must now introduce mandatory testing of all and any craft that could be used to rescue someone in distress as required by Regulation 33 of SOLAS.

Failure to do so will, (not could), result in a person in charge going to the rescue of a casualty when their craft does not meet MCA safety codes for rescue craft.

  • Dave Griff Time to get shot of these pathetic beaurocrats. A blight on society.

  • viago viago is the mca fit for purpose?
