The purpose of this petition is to get congress to change the laws that bar muslim women from entering courthouses whereing their hijjab. Since the United States has the Freedom of religon I believe it unconstitutional to jail or fine Muslim women who refuse to remove there hijjab in courthouses . This is clearly a violation of freedom of religon since the hijjab is such an important aspect of religon for the muslim women.

Updates

December 18, 2008

I have been hearing from women across the country who have been forced to choose between their faith and their right to access the justice system. Please send an email to your representative today demanding that they end the discriminatory policies in our courthouses. Pressure is the only way we will force them to address this violation of our constitutional rights.

December 18, 2008

The momentum behind this fight is undeniable now. Take this link and email your representative today to demand they protect our religious freedom in every courthouse. Do not let them ignore the legal reality that these mandates are unconstitutional.

Totally disagree with these rules. Let people wear what they want.
