The proposed Heartland Transmission project is the construction of a high voltage transmission line, which will connect North East of Fort Saskatchewan to the existing transmission facilities either west of Edmonton or in southern Edmonton. We are strongly opposed to the placement of the ALTALINK/EPCOR Heartland Transmission Project in the SM1A, SM2A, SM3A, SM4A & SMC Areas.
We feel that the Alberta Government established Transportation Utility Corridors that have already been designated for major power lines and we see no reason to place these power lines through prime farming land and residential communities.

My family has farmed this land for 3 generations. Stop the Heartland project now.
