On thursday February 11 a badger was found in a snare, located near Flemish and Wallonian nature reserves in Eben Emael, Belgium. He was so badly injured he died the next day. Snares are legal in Wallonie, French-speaking Belgium. They are used to catch foxes. But it's not just foxes that get caught, badgers also wind up as victims and they are a protected species. It's hard to find justice and punishment for those who are responsible due to the poor Wallonian hunting legislation. We need to change that! Makes no difference where you are, every voice matters. Even if you live abroad, you could perhaps one day come and visit here as a tourist and then suddenly walk in on a wildlife animal trapped in a snare, crying and suffering. One hundred people have signed and the Walloon hunting authorities can no longer ignore this bloodbath. These barbaric snare traps are killing protected badgers while the government hides behind outdated laws.

La loi doit changer. Les renards ou pas, ces engins de mort sont trop dangereux pour la faune locale.
