The undersigned parties have pledged to take a stand and NOT support KLLI (105.3) or those sponsors that continue to advertise with KLLI. Furthermore, the actions of Russ Martin to make light of the serious issue of Domestic Violence (such as posting his mug shot on myspace) is unacceptable.We can only assume you endorse his insensitive behavior by your continuing to advertise with KLLI. Russ has been charged with a 2nd degree felony with a deadly weapon and the evidence is strong against him. The Tarrant County DA has accepted Russ\' case and they have a 90% conviction rate. Estimates of assaults on women by partners range from approximately 2 million to 4 million annually in the United States. Domestic violence is not confined to any one socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial or age group and knows no geographic or educational boundaries. About one out of every four women in America will be physically assaulted or raped by an intimate partner at some point in their lives. In fact, American women are more likely to be assaulted, injured, raped or killed by a male partner than by any other type of assailant.
