To: Wesley K. Clark On November 2nd, 2004 more than 55 million Americans went to the polls to demand a change in the leadership that we believe has failed the nation. Unfortunately that change has not come, and once again America finds itself divided because of partisan politics. We stand today as ordinary citizens in search of a common man to restore dependable leadership in Washington, renew our faith in the democratic process, and repair the partisan political divide in America. We believe that man to be Wesley K. Clark, of Little Rock, Arkansas. General Clark as we reflect on your effort to be the 2004 Democratic Party Nominee for President we recognize it as a renaissance campaign which brought together conservative, moderate, and progressive political ideologies. By signing this petition we call on you General Clark, to lead us in an endeavor to restore the type of democracy and American government that the entire world is so eager to embrace.
