We should learn from history not live in it. in 2015 we should be protecting minoritiesy culturest persecuting them
They are European citizens. The Charter of Fundamental Rights is therefore also for them.
How can we call ourselves modern when people are treated like they dont belong in their own country? its shameful to ignore this any longer.
It really is amusing to listen to wealthy people complain about those who are forced to live in abject poverty. Change places for a year or two, then you can call them scroungers
We need to stop pointing the finger at the poor and the discriminated because they are doing what they can to improve their situation. Today I will take a civic, pan-European initiative for a campaign and a petition against poverty and discrimination against Roma and other vulnerable groups to thereby put pressure on politicians and policymakers in Europe to act for decent conditions for all EU citizens. The campaign and petition will be conducted on social media and through petitions throughout the EU. Make your voice heard to those who lack capacity to make themselves heard. Mathias Darmell

As in the case of refugees one might wonder whether there is a shift in the European values. "Wehret den Anfängen", hopefully not too late.
