we got the news that change is finally happening regarding how roma communities are treated. this win belongs to all 139 of you who joined in and refused to look away. keep your eyes open because we need to make sure these promises actually turn into reality.
We, the citizens of EU call on all national and European politicians and policy makers to take strong actions against the extreme poverty and all forms of discrimination against the Roma people all over Europe. We can't accept first and second class citizens in modern Europe.
As in the case of refugees one might wonder whether there is a shift in the European values. "Wehret den Anfängen", hopefully not too late.

How can we call ourselves modern when people are treated like they dont belong in their own country? its shameful to ignore this any longer.

It really is amusing to listen to wealthy people complain about those who are forced to live in abject poverty. Change places for a year or two, then you can call them scroungers

We need to stop pointing the finger at the poor and the discriminated because they are doing what they can to improve their situation.
Today I will take a civic, pan-European initiative for a campaign and a petition against poverty and discrimination against Roma and other vulnerable groups to thereby put pressure on politicians and policymakers in Europe to act for decent conditions for all EU citizens.
The campaign and petition will be conducted on social media and through petitions throughout the EU.
Make your voice heard to those who lack capacity to make themselves heard.
