We, the undersigned, request Greenwich Council to consider the needs of the professionals, workers and families of Charlton Village. PLEASE GIVE US A DELI OR CAFE! If you find the pubs intimidating, or don\'t drink. If you don\'t eat fast-food or frequent Qu\'An Air Conditioning, the little Turkish Social Club, the Barbers or Afro Hairdressers. If you don't spend all your time looking at Reptiles or blinds or even in Estate Agent windows! However worthy all these establishments are, if you still feel something's missing. If you would just love to have some life back in the village, something to make an effort to come into the village for... Then sign our petition. As landlords, Greenwich Council have the say on who leases what in the village. Lets put our voice loud and clear to them... Why should we have to travel to Blackheath or Greenwich to find a decent cafe The corner shop stocks Green & Blacks, the Co-Op stocks Dorset Cereals -someone must be buying them! The council needs to wake up to the needs of the changing demographics, and of the dare we say it, 'middle class' minority of SE7!!

The momentum for a village cafe is undeniable now. The council cannot ignore this level of interest for much longer.

A café would be lovely. I'd spend more time in the village rather than heading to blackheath to get a decent coffee.

Living in charlton for 5 years now and it would be amazing to have a nice place to grab a coffee on a saturday morning without trekking to the village.

Would love a deli in the village. Keep seeing all the new families moving in so it makes total sense.

Yes yes yes! I walk past those empty units every day and just wish someone would open a proper place for a latte and a sandwich.

Finally! Something other than another estate agent. A cafe would be great for the area.
