Ever since it was announced that Kat Moon would be returning to Walford, fans everywhere rejoiced, hoping EastEnders would return to the glory days of the early 00s. But since her dramatic entrance, something hasn't sat right with many of her long term fans. That something has since been identified as a lack of characters for her to bounce off of, the way she did with her family during her first stint. Given that Elaine Jordan was fired, the character of Lil Mo seems to have come to the end of her run and Michelle Ryan has sworn she will never return, the most plausible character to bring back seems to be Kat's sister Belinda. Since Belinda was never properly developed, it would be like having a blank canvas and provide a different type of character to the 'loud mouth, strong woman'-esque heroines that the writers seem to have become obsessed with. Belinda's snobby, rude attitude and hillarious one liners would work well alongside Kat's down to earth, no nonsense persona, as seen in their previous scenes together. It would also provide Kat with a family member to speak openly with and be protective over, which is one of the keys to this icon's success. With the baby swap story coming to a close, it seems like the perfect opportunity to reintroduce Belinda in typical dramatic fashion and finally give the long-term fans exactly what they've been missing... BRING BACK BELINDA!
