Back in 2005 there were approx 990 injuries because of the careless use of fireworks within the UK, and thousands of animals were also injured, most of the time this is intentional and it i not right, Ban Fireworks UK do not wish to take the fun away from November 5th, just make the night more enjoyable by only allowing them to be used at organised displays. Please join us with this task and help us get a result! You can visit http://www.BanFireworksUK.blogspot.com for up-to-date information on our progress.

Maureen Ballard, United Kingdom11 months ago Comments: Over two weeks now - from early afternoon to 10 November and counting! Get rid of them. We don't want them. November 5th for organised events and then end the misery for us all and those poor animals frightened out of their wits.
susan, United Kingdom11 months ago Comments: I have two dogs which are both very nervous i feel the government need to oulaw fireworks for general sale, and only allow them to be used at organised events, I would suggest that this was done by donations toward the council and towns holding the events, it means everyone can enjoy themselves and feel this is the fairest and only way to go. I am sick to the back teeth of shelfish self centred people in general, they really show their true colours throughout the firework season...I spend over a fortnight having to take my dogs away sitting in a cold car in the middle of no where for hours on end, just because the government have no back bone.
