Barrow County Girl Scouts want to stay with Historic Georgia Girl Scouts for the following reasons: 1.Established relationships and trust between Council and the service unit. 2. Service, training, accessibility, assistance provided by Council to the service unit. 3. Distance, travel time and price of fuel to reach Metro GA facilities and events. 4. The need to stay with a program and method that works for us and is successful. We don't believe in changing something that works well for us now in order to travel farther to events which we can already participate in if we so desire. 5. We feel that in moving to the Metro Council that we would not gain, but lose. Lose travel time, lose our trusted and valued relationships, lose service from Council in part because offices are moving to Cobb county, many miles and much congested traffic away from Barrow.
