Mayor please do not allow this, Marysville was bombarded with Fertilizer dust for years, now the noise that will fill the valley , Is unacceptable. Recreation use only.

We want bench lands to stay the same for recreation. Walk there lots.

This after Mayor Don McCormick said earlier this week the location would be a perfect fit for advanced technology company Sullivan Machine Works. Councillor Bev Middlebrook thinks its great the Calgary-based developer wants to be in the community, but feels a different location should be considered. “Its prime real estate used by Marysville residents to walk, there’s trails on there and there was talk of the trails being removed,” Middlebrook says. “The noise concerns me, there’s 2500 people below in the valley and when I hear there will be no noise, I find that hard to believe.” Middlebrook adds its a prime site for hiking and should be left undisturbed. “The views of the St. Marys Valley, the Rockies and all of Marysville is stunning. Its probably one of the most beautiful views in this entire community,” Middlebrook says. “For that to be an industrial park would be a real shame. It should be shared by everyone for years to come.” Last month, conservation group Wildsight urged the city to keep the Marysville Bench a green space. Mayor Don McCormick said earlier this week the Marysville Bench would be a perfect fit for Sullivan Machine Works to develop. Would be such a shame to see this land become industrial...once it becomes that there's no turning back. This area is too beautiful to destroy for the sake of money.

I believe there are other places better for industrial businesses.

Marysville is a special place that is dead quiet on summer nights and during cold winter months. Do not fall for the only section of land available skit. It's a pristine section that overlooks the whole community. Last thing we need is the hum of exhaust fans and glow of security lights above us. The business that is seeking the land is a 24/7 operation with CNC milling of raw metal. That operation has no business sitting over the town of Marysville. Smarten up Mayor, nice way to devalue all the homes sitting below. I'm all for the buisness, JUST NOT THERE !!! VOB1Z0

Look at Cranbrook. Some of the most beautiful views are in the industrial area. What a shame! Don't let this happen to us.

Please zone the area as recreation for future generations. Thank you, as it is too beautiful to ruin with industrial sites. There are other areas that are more suited to be used for industrial areas.

What a damn shame especially when there are other areas around Kimberley to utilize.

This is my favorite place and holds so much sentimental value to me and many people I know, I can't imagine if it was no longer recreational. I agree wholly with Brent Nocholson, keep V0B 1Z0 wild!

Start one industrial building, then there will be more!! Will affect property assessments!! Increase noise as it echos!! Protect our beautiful Kimberley!!
