ZINA Leadership Must Go Now!
As netball stakeholders who have endured in silence, we are submitting this petition to highlight our concerns and request a comprehensive investigation.
1. No to Unlimited Terms of Office (2002 to 2024)
- Two terms only! Even the best leader knows when to step aside.
- Leadership should not turn into a liability instead of an asset.
2. No to Verbal, Emotional, and Exploitation Abuse
- We stand against all forms of abuse within the organization.
3. No to Constitutions that Stunt Growth and Development
- Constitutions should foster growth, not hinder it.
4. No to Blind Loyalty and Bootlicking
- Leadership should be about vision and integrity, not blind loyalty.
5. Leadership is a Relay, Not a Solo Race
- Leadership should be passed on; no one should hold on indefinitely, regardless of their capabilities.
6. Build Us, Don’t Break Us
- Leaders should guide and support, not tear down. Mistakes should be met with guidance, not punishment.
7. Unite Us, Don’t Divide Us
- Leaders should bring people together, not create divisions. Expand the game, ensuring no one and no place is left behind.
8. Promote Sport for Social Good
- Use netball to combat drug abuse, early marriages, and unemployment. Let our talent benefit humanity.
9. Leadership for Service, Not Personal Gain
- Leaders should serve the community, not their own interests.
10. Constitutions are Public Documents
- No to the manipulation of constitutions. They should be transparent and accessible.
11. No to Intimidation
- Respect is earned, not forced.
The Call to Action
Mene Mene Tekel– The time for change is now. Let us unite to restore sanity in netball and be the voice of the voiceless.
No Easy Walk to Freedom– We must work together to bring about the necessary change. The time is now!
