We the undersigned, being Zimbabweans who are living in Australia, demand that you make known to the President of Zimbabwe, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, and his Government, of whom you are a representative, that we, the Diaspora living in Australia, and having constitutional rights as Zimbabwean citizens, demand his resignation as President and the resignation of his Government for failure to govern Zimbabwe as required by him under the Constitution.
There is evidence of failure to govern
in every health clinic or hospital,
in every school or University,
in the power supply,
in the water supply,
in the streets and roads and bridges,
in the people standing jobless in every village, town and city
in the organisations that are meant to provide justice.
There is NO part of the country that is not suffering from Government mismanagement and corruption.

There are millions of Zimbabweans whose lives have been shattered, who have been forced to leave their homes and live elsewhere, not by choice but necessity.
We demand that you, being a representative of the Zimbabwean Government send this petition to Robert Gabriel Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe on behalf of the undersigned Zimbabweans living in Australia.

I want to go back to my beautiful country and i want Mugabe to resign as our President. He has not served the Country, he has destroyed it. He should be had for conflict of Interests, his best interests were never in the succession of our Country!

No - it hasn't. There are many injustices hanging around.. like a death pall over the whole country. One step at a time... Right now Zim HAS no government in effect. People are suffering in so many ways as the downward spiral continues... All very well for us outside, but a miserable position for those inside. This is the 'crash and burn' that was avoided by the GNU.

That is what I feel too Izzi. The people in Harare who are there with their petition direct to Mugabe... they are on the frontline, but determined that Zimbabweans have no alternative than to stand up for their rights - even in the face of what they know is brutality. I feel this is a significant even if small way to stand with them.

It is very hard for people there. I am in awe of the guys with the Occupy Africa Unity Square petition.. they are right there on the front line. Knowing that they have the legal rights to petition but not having the actual rights on the ground. I feel they are standing there for me too.

Susan - I have just left dimbobwe after living my whole life there. Reluctantly I left - not because I wanted to - because there is nothing for the elderly there - no financial security - no pension schemes no medi care NOTHING!! A proud legacy the mugrabbies have left!

I would love to come back to Zimbabwe - where I was born but while Mugabe and his cohorts are in power, I cannot.
