I have signed, but I don't believe at all that the GBC will ever change and moreover take their culprit friends to justice!

turkeys do not invite diners for thanksgivings lunch .. so there is very little hope that the GBC is interested in changing and bring to justice the culprits.

Definately zero tolerance for any type of abuse, but especially this..time to wake up, stand up, offer support and vote OUT anyone who turns a blind eye.

The abuse of children in our movement is not limited to the actions of the abusers themselves. The way we reacted as a society wss also abusive, to the extreme. The way the so-called CPO was formed, by former child abusers who wanted to protect themselves via a smokescreen, was also abuse, and the token punishments, completely out of proportion to the abuse enacted, are also abuse. When nothing is done about abuse, or practically nothing, the psychological pain and damage done to victims becomes much worse, as they feel not just their abusers don't care about them, no one does. Please help, please sign the petition, and refuse to give any service or money to your local temple unless change happens.

There should not even have to be a petition for this, it's ridiculous it has come to this. This is obviously something Krishna would be condemning people for. The demons should not be in charge of ISKON. How has it come to this....

Us adults we have not had the purity and consequently the capacity to act drastically to stop all this, but our children, grown in the movement that by birth or by small but the more fortunate than we have been able to begin the process of their purification already from small... and therefore more pure in us. They will bring light to all these crimes and we have failed or perhaps we never seriously tried to protect our children from these rapists, rapists, offenders, is not an offense to give the thief a thief. And let us remember that those who remain silent consents.

Loved this documentary! There is nothing spiritual about covering up child abuse and enabeling it by turning a blind eye. Common sense. Basic decency. We need to have integrity to raise our consciousness.

Yes Child Protection should be independent of GBC governing body Commission

Tolerating child abuse undermines the basic human dignity of the victims and is in stark contrast to the values outlined in the Gita. Please do right by the most vulnerable members of society and police child abuse in ISKCON with a no-tolerance policy.

Should be treated the same in any organisation as in the society in general. Separate rules should not apply.

Similar things among the boys went on in the Victorian gurukula on the farm outside of Melbourne Australia in the mid 1990s. Instead of getting to the bottom of the problem, the 'authorities' tried to scape goat one child and protect children of wealthier Indian families in the process. No one except for my son got any counselling to understand what had happened, as far as I am aware - even the very young boys that were abused. The police advised me to keep my son away from the gurukula permanently because "they could set him up for anything". This is how this type of thing keeps reoccurring in the gurukulas. It starts with a boy who is abused by an adult but remains unprotected and is never counselled, who then acts out this behaviour on other children, who may then do the same thing to boys younger than them.

It is necessary to seek Krishna beyond ISKCON.

CPO should ALWAYS be independent and impartial! Here in UK all schools-private and public have appointed CPOs placed directly on daily basis in every school and nursery but they report directly to governing body outside the school. SP said children are the future of ISKCON. What future are we creating? Hope my insignificant signature helps. Yhs Laksmi Nrisimha Priya dasi IDS
