Zero Tolerance on the Abuse of Hare Krishna Children

We have to set the proper example, and on a consistent basis, or we look like insincere fools or worse.

As a gurukula alumni, having experienced abuse in different forms myself in gurukula and ISKCON, you have my full support. May there be a day (soon!) when zero tolerance of child abuse in ISKCON is a real and true reality.

The GBC have no idea what is to be done if they are as they say the untamate governing board All need to resign from all management and just hear and chant For Thier own good

I fully support the spirit and detail of this petition. the fear of what people will think of the Hare Krishna Movement if they find out about incidences of child abuse is not as important as to name and shame the abusers and to remove them from all spheres of influence with children. The GBC should also be held to account and purged.

As Putana was punished by the Lord, upon killing several children, trying to kill Him as a little child, thus becoming the representative symbol of the mode of ignorance, and as Devaki weeped for each of her children handed to Kamsa's arms, to death's arms out of fear of Kamsa's wrath, so a person who preaches Krishna Consciousness should be conversant with the conclusions of Shastra, and give all protection to children, knowing them to be part-and-parcels of Krishna in any case, therefore they should be given full respect and protection as such. Any other way is a violation of Dharmic duty, and lacking solid explanation in the realized writings of Shastra, should have no solid base or foundation to serve such behavior in ISKCON, for the shared future of all our lives.

I absolutely agree with the petition for forming an independent body and also for the allocation of 1% of the TOVP revenue for its functioning.

It has got to stop.

ISKCON is a International organization for spiritual identity. So it's roots and values should be acknowledge fairly and transparently. Child is our future. So it is our responsibility that a good future should preserve for them. That's why I support this petition.

The GBC's absolute control and lack of action is laughable. It shows there care is not for the children. Very Catholic-esque.
