I spent the morning looking at the proposed budget cuts and it is clear the administration does not value the creativity our kids pour into the music program every single day. The golf team has plenty of funding while our instruments are falling apart and that is a choice they are making at our expense. I am currently drafting a formal rebuttal to present at the next board meeting to make sure they understand exactly what we stand to lose.

Seeing this momentum grow has quieted my doubts about whether the board would actually listen to us. Music was the only reason I made it through my own time at this school and seeing so many others agree makes me feel like we might actually protect these programs.
