I'm surprised there have not been more accidents in that spot. It is a dangerous road situation!!

A tiny stretch of Zandhoek is part of my regular walk with my dogs and it is terrifying every time. I have to race them across the street, shove them onto neighbors’ lawns, and put my body between them and the road while wearing hi-viz. I still have had several close calls. I understand the expense is great, but believe making Hurley more walkable is worth it. There is one section where walking through the cemetery is a safe alternative. Maybe this or an alternate route could be utilized to reduce costs.

Absolutely we should have a sidewalk here. We should also put in traffic calming measures- the stop signs and new digital speed limit sign are small steps but much more should be done to ensure residents' safety.

This seems like a basic measure to ensure the safety of children in our community and as such should take precedence over squabbles about the budget.

This sidewalk will not only keep our residents safe, but also provide walking access into town.

This is a sensible request to begin addressing existing safety issues for Old Hurley pedestrians and drivers, and it has my full support.

I watched 2 cars today run the newly installed Stop sign. Clearly this isn’t going to be a deterrent.

This would be critical to safety and to invite even more young families to live and thrive in Hurley

Zandhoek deserves basic pedestrian safety so that kids & adults and walk to the school and town center safely. A sidewalk or protected path is the only solution.
